[edit] Takeda Ryu "modern art"?

Nope, Takeda Ryu is as old as Daito-Ryu, in fact they split up from the "stem"-Takeda-Ryu (Shuryu). Daito Ryu is thus only a "Genryu"

[edit] why is 'aikijutsu' the main page and 'aikijujutsu' the redirect?

I have never heard the term aikijutsu refer to the art when I studied it in Japan.

Here is definition of aikijujutsu in Stanley Pranin's Aiki News Encyclopedia. It is worth note that the term "aikijutsu" is absent entirely from this work.

Aikijujutsu

1. A term used occasionally to refer to the jujutsu form taught by Morihei UESHIBA in the 1920s and early 1930s. The Daito-ryu scroll given to Minoru MOCHIZUKI by Ueshiba in June 1932 bears an Aikijujutsu seal.

2. An abbreviated term used loosely to refer to the DAITO-RYU AIKIJUJUTSU of Sokaku TAKEDA. Its use in this sense is most frequent outside of Japan.

3. Aiki techniques performed in a hard, jujutsu-like manner used in contrast to the softer, rounded techniques of aikido.
