Aika Mitsui (光井愛佳 Mitsui Aika?), born on January 12, 1993 in the Shiga Prefecture of Japan, is the newest member of J-pop group Morning Musume, joining as the sole member of the eighth generation. Mitsui's audition process was documented during the late 2006 episodes of Hello! Morning.

On December 10th, 2006 on Hello! Morning, she alone out of five (originally six, but Ayami Masuda dropped out) finalists was chosen to join as an eighth generation member. According to an article published on December 11, Aika won't be present in the 57th edition of Kouhaku Uta Gassen but will be taking part in the band's 32nd single, which is slated for release on Valentine's Day[1] It is also possible she'll take part in Morning Musume's Spring Tour next year.
