Looks okay at a quick glance, but I'll let others comment. I'm on my way to Talk:Jesus. Arch O. LaTalkTCF 22:33, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

I like the fact that your outline seperates the Chronology and Ministry sections, but I'm wondering if others would rather see the sermons in the context of Chronology. Like after the Baptism, his first sermon would be listed, etc. I'm not sure exactly which I prefer. —Aiden 22:53, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
I was just trying to separate "life" from "teachings" within "life and teachings." I'll respect whatever consensus decides. Arch O. LaTalkTCF 23:19, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
I think its a good idea to separate the two because of different focuses. And besides, isn't it pretty difficult to order the teachings chronologically?--Andrew c 02:22, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

BTW, since the "Life and Teachings" section is supposed to be a summary of New Testament view on Jesus' life, we may need to condense the section. It might also be wise to rename the section "Biography of Jesus" or something similar. Arch O. LaTalkTCF 05:45, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

I've consolidated a few sections and merged content with their main articles and that already in the current Jesus article. Let me know what you think for the 'Geneology and Family' and 'Nativity and Childhood' sections. —Aiden 01:55, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
In regards to the Geneology section, I could live without the 2nd paragraph. As for the nativity part, paragraphs 1, 2, and 3 could use some trimming and condensing. I personally like the size and content of the first to paragraphs here: Christian views of Jesus#Birth and childhood But otherwise, this is pretty good work and maybe could go in another article. I think the problem is that there are too many articles on this topic. There are pretty detailed articles on the individual events, then less detailed articles about Jesus' life from different persepctives, and then an even less detailed article about the person in general. But maybe I am fighting a loosing battle, because I'm not sure how many people share my desire to keep the bio section short and sweet (with links to the more extensive pages). But seriously, thanks for your work so far!--Andrew c 02:34, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

I wonder if we have enough of the historical context. Presenting a biography of Jesus without the cultural and historical context of first century Roman-occupied Israel is like presenting a biography of Abraham Lincoln without the cultural and historical context of the social forces that led to the American Civil War.

About the sections you mentioned: they look good, but if all the subsections are that detailed than the bio section will grow to long. Of course, I should wait until you've finished. Arch O. LaTalkTCF 04:05, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
