Ahmed Tevfik Pasha
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ahmed Tevfik Pasha was the last Ottoman grand vizier, who had also held office during two different periods before his last (a total of four different periods officially since his first office also saw a change of sultan). This first office was from 13 April 1909 to 5 May 1909 under Abdulhamid II in the beginning, and then under Mehmed VI Reşad. His two other prime ministries were between 11 November 1918 - 3 March 1919 and 21 October 1920 - 4 November 1922, in the interval of which Damat Ferid Pasha held office. Ahmed Tevfik Pasha is not to be confused with Tewfik Pasha, a khedive of Egypt.
Ahmed Tevfik Pasha's first period of office was one of the direct outcomes of 31 March Incident.
