Ahmed Benbitour

Ahmed Benbitour (Arabic: أحمد بن بيتور) (born June 20, 1946 in Metlili, Ghardaia wilaya, Algeria) is an Algerian politician. He graduated from University of Montreal in 1984 with a Ph.D. in Economics. He was the Prime Minister of Algeria from December 1999 until August 2000, when he resigned. He was also finance minister briefly during 1996.
