Ago Silde is the current governor of the Estonian county of Ida-Viru.

Between 1991 and 1995, Silde was the managing director of Raplamaa Union of the Estonian Association of Small Enterprises.
Between 1993 and 1994, Silde was the project manageer of the European Development and Reconstruction Bank in Turveruukki.
In 1994, Silde was the project consultant of the European Development and Reconstruction Bank.
Between 1994 and 2000, Silde was the director of the Kehtna School of Economics and Technology.
Silde was the President of the Narva Lions Club between 2001 and 2002.
Between 2002 and 2003, 'Silde was the chairman of the Management Board of Narva Region Restaurant and Hotel Owners Association.
Since 2004, Silde has been the governor of Ida-Viru.
