Agios Georgios (Vrachneika), Greece

Agios Georgios (Greek: Άγιος Γεώργιος, Saint George), formerly Vrachneika is a village that is in the northeastern part of the municipality of Andravida in the prefecture of Ilia. It is connected only with one paved road. It is close to the municipal boundary of Lechaina with the village of Agioi Theodoroi. Distance from GR-9/E55 is 4.5 km E and 1.5 from the old one along with the Lechaina-Melissa Road. Distance from Patras is about 59.5 km SW and about 42 km NW of Pyrgos. Its neighboring communities and villages are Lechaina to the west, Agioi Theodoroi to the north and the Andravida Military Airport to the southeast. It is in the community of Andravida.

The irrigated canal is to the south. Olive groves and pasture lands are within the hamlet. Most of the area is hilly while the southern part remains flat with mixed farming. A few trees are founded to the east. The area is small. It is the only village in the municipality that uses the postal code from Lechaina.
