Agawa District, Kochi

Agawa (吾川郡; Agawa-gun) is a district located in Kochi, Japan.
As of the August 1, 2005 merger but with 2003 population statistics, the district has an estimated population of 51,381 and a density of 60.5 persons per km². The total area is 848.61 km².

[edit] Mergers
- On October 1, 2004 the village of Gohoku and the village of Hongawa from Tosa District merged into the town of Ino.
- On August 1, 2005 the town of Ikegawa and the village of Agawa merged with the village of Niyodo from Takaoka District to form the new town of Niyodogawa.
