Afton Bridgend

Afton Bridgend (or Afton-Bridgend) is a village in the Scottish council area of East Ayrshire, within the parish of New Cumnock. The village is on the banks of the River Afton. Its population was 261 in 1846 [1], and 384 in 1891 [2] Afton Bridgend had links to rise of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Scotland in the mid-19th century. [3]
