After Taxes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

After Taxes is the second solo album by rapper Sheek Louch. Unlike his first album Walk Witt Me, it was not released on a major label but instead on Koch Records, one of the largest independent labels in the United States. The album spawned a minor hit in Kiss Your Ass Goodbye". The album also includes the 50 Cent diss "Maybe If I Sing", which accuses 50 Cent of being a snitch and criticizes him for singing on his records. The song is a result of the beef that 50 Cent started with his song "Piggy Bank", which dissed Jadakiss, a fellow member of D-Block.He also disses 50 on "On The Road Again" by saying "Piggy Bank" was probably the best 50 has done & In "Kiss Your Ass Goodbye"(the version with Styles P) by saying "There's too much violence now since Ja ruined 50", but those two lines have largely not created a stir. Some have accused Sheek Louch of being a hypocrite for criticizing 50 Cent for singing, but yet singing himself on his songs "45 Minutes to Broadway", "Kiss Your Ass Goodbye", and "All Fed Up". On the first two songs the singing does not dominate the song, but on "All Fed Up" it constitutes the whole chorus. The same accusation of hypocrisy has been directed at 50 Cent for his criticism rapper Ja Rule's singing.

Each version of "Kiss Your Ass Goodbye" is credited as the Remix, but the Styles P.-assisted version is the original. Also, a mixtape remix of the song includes Jadakiss and The Game, in addition to the guests on the album version.

Most of the rest of After Taxes is composed of hardcore gangsta rap content.
