African International Airways

African International Airways is a South African all-cargo airline. It specialises in providing supplementary contract aircraft capacity to scheduled carriers. Its main bases are Kent International Airport, United Kingdom, Johannesburg International Airport, South Africa, Ostend International Airport, Belgium. The main agents for the airline are Intavia Limited based at Crawley, Sussex, United Kingdom.

The airline was established and started operations in 1985. It's contracted cargo aircraft were provided for Alitalia's sub-services for 11 years until 1996 and subsequently for short term periods to South African Airways, Air Gabon and latterly to British Airways World Cargo. UK company Intavia assists in providing the management of African International Airways, which is owned by PJM Corbin and JL Warburton McBride (76%) and Intavia (24%).
