Afore Azteca

Afore Azteca is an Afore owned by Grupo Salinas. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Afore Azteca is Luis Armando Melgar.
Afore Azteca was authorized by the Comisión Nacional del Sistema de Ahorro para el Retiro (CONSAR, "National Commission of the System of Retirement Savings") to operate beginning in February 2003. Afore Azteca began offering its service on March 17 of the same year. By November, the number of clients had reached 370,000 and the amount being managed was 600 million pesos (approximately 55 million US dollars).
