AFL Players Association

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The AFL Players Association is a body that consists of players and former players in the Australian Football League. Its aim is to provide guidance and assistance to players with a wide range of issues affecting them.

They also award the Leigh Matthews Trophy (formerly the AFLPA MVP), which is for the best and fairest player during the year, as voted by peers, not to be confused with the Brownlow Medal.

The CEO of the AFLPA is former Richmond player Brendon Gale.
