I'm 19 years old and immigrated to the US from Peshawar, Pakistan with my parents when I was a child. I'm a student at U of Iowa. I use the term "afghan historian" because part of my ancestry is Pashtun. I also have Punjabi ancestry. Although my family is Sunni Muslim, I'm personally agnostic. My interests are philology, philosophy, English Literature, South Asian affairs, European history, cricket, policy debate, golf, soccer, Classic Rock, Opera, legal studies, postcolonial studies and literary criticism. I prefer to read history with an NPOV point of view. I will take any suggestions on any matter.

Favourite historical figure: Otto Von Bismarck. (hey, if the stupid Kaiser kept him as chancellor in the first place, we wouldnt have had WWI the way it happened and, (this is my personal belief) we wouldnt have seen 6 million innocent Jews get incinerated in Auschwitz, etc.)
Places I have traveled to: Spain, Portugal, Morocco, UK, Canada, Mexico, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Russia, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Ireland, Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa.
Places I intend to see: Iran, India, France, Norway, Denmark, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Mali, Nigeria, Congo, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Japan, and the Carribean.
note: In the places I've traveled to, I spent times ranging from two weeks to three months. Mostly a month and a half for most. Many I saw in one whole vacation. In one month of vacation, I saw Spain, Portugal and Morocco. UK and Ireland in another trip. UAE and Pakistan in another. Kenya and Tanzania in another. Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium in one vacation as well. I went to Singapore in the summer after my 8th grade and spent two months there.
Things to Major in College: Corporate Law (a legal adviser, and I decided that corporate law was better than international)
Favourite foods: Indian/Pakistani food, and, maybe Lebanese cuisine. I like filafil and Hummus alot. I also like tea and crumpets(courtesy of my frequent visits to the UK when growing up). Others: Persian cuisine, authentic Chinese cuisine, Kentucky Fried Chicken, traditional Italian Pizza and Quiznos.
