- in Greek mythology, one of the Heliades, daughters of Helios, the sun god.
- a female pilgrim living in the late fourth century, also known as Egeria, Etheria, Eucheria, or Silvia. She is known for having gone on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, and wrote an account of her travels variously called the Peregrinatio Ætheriæ, Itinerarium Egeriae, or Peregrinatio ad Loca Sancta
