Aerosticks
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Aerosticks is a game invented in 1985 by Miles Hochstein. It is played with a staff or pole, usually something easily accessible like a broomstick, and an Aerobie. The name is a portmanteau of Aerobie and Stick.
The game could possibly be played with other spearing implements, such as a spear, pool cue, training sword or bo staff. Similarly, other ring-like structures could replace the Aerobie, though they would have very different flying capabilities. Possibilities are ring toss, rings used for juggling, hoola hoops, and in a similar origin as "Guts" Frisbee throwing saw blades, even the chakram, an ancient Indian weapon popularized by Xena, Warrior princess.
