Aechmea bromeliifolia (syn. Aechmea tinctoria Mart.) is a bromeliad typical to Atlantic Coast restingas vegetation which is an ecosystem of Atlantic Forest biome. This plant grows in Brazil, specially in following states Bahia, Espírito Santo, and Rio de Janeiro.
