[edit] Cleanup

Anyone who is qualified, might you delete the character list and actually delve into the characters as opposed to how they perform? -- A Link to the Past 16:49, August 5, 2005 (UTC)

So delete the table, and add personality information? Sure. --Tjstrf 18:11, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
I agree. The bulk of this article is game-specific information about the CO's. This looks like it needs to be scrapped and completely rebuilt, covering at the least the gameplay and major changes from previous versions. BCampbell 15:14, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
I reformatted the CO section after User:69.194.122.190 completed the information about the other COs. I find this way a bit better than using ==== for each CO name (the table of contents became too long) or letting the paragraphs against the left margin. Opinions? -- ReyBrujo 04:44, 10 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] COs

If nobody does/complains, I will merge the CO list with List of Advance Wars COs. -- ReyBrujo 11:35, 13 October 2005 (UTC)

The only problem with that is that the article is now really short. Any suggestions for what else we could add to this article to keep it up to a decent length? --Tjstrf 05:41, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
Gameplay, plot, visuals, critical acclaim, sales data, references, external links, see also, Tjstrf. - A Link to the Past (talk) 19:36, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
discuss the music in the game. Also, the training was incorporated into the campaign rather than off to the side. Who made art for the game? I think its also worth mentioning that orange star is called red star in Japan. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.55.117.242 (talk • contribs) .

[edit] External Links

Does it bother anyone else that there are two sites listed as the "largest advance wars site on the web"? And maybe the "Give it spin!" should be removed... It sounds too much like advertising. 198.145.86.158 05:24, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

You are right. Either clean (remove) some of them (if possible, assert notability per amount of forum members, Alexa ranking, amount of advertisment, third party program requirements and stuff according to external links guidelines), or tag the section with {{cleanup-spam}} so that other can do that later. -- ReyBrujo 05:30, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Advance Wars Net has more forum members and posts, but it and Advance Wars Bunker are really close. The others are not so popular, to say the least. Checking the stats for the 5 forums yields:

AWN: 1781 members, 383,080 posts

AWB: 1636 members, 377,055 posts

WWN: 395 members, 79,273 posts

AWRev: 419 members, 33,811 posts

BHH: 161 members, 33,345 posts

I'm pulling the bottom 3 of those from the page. The other two fansites host online versions of the game or the illustrated walkthroughs, so I think they should be kept unless someone else wishes to complain. That leaves us with 4 fansites and 3 official sites, which should be tolerable. --tjstrf 17:48, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
