[edit] "How do they do it?" campaign

Westpac's "How do they do it?" used self-deprecating humour to draw attention to its support of Australian Olympians.

The campaign began in 1999, in which Westpac had ads in which Susie O'Neil tried unsuccessfully synchronised swimming, archery and hammer throw.

During Sydney 2000 Olympics, Westpac had advertising featuring parents of Australian Olympic competitors unsuccessfully trying, the sports of their children. After failing, they said "I don't know how they do it", after which text says that Westpac provides financial support for Australian competitors, and that that's not how they do it, but it helps.

The 2002 Winter Olympics featured summer Olympians trying winter sports without any luck.
