He is also a composer for fashion shows, and was the recording engineer for Tom Zé's 1998 album Com Defeito de Fabricação. He is constantly called to give composition and instrumental performance master classes worldwide. His voice has a 4-octave range and he is a competent baritone. He also excels in poetry and some of his poetic verses can be heard as part of CSS song lyrics, like alala, alala: you are so cool (...) or meuku and Do you like the beach, bitch?. Joanna Newsom has attended one of Adriano's pedal harp performance and composition master classes prior to the recording of her 2006 album.
Previously, Adriano was in the band The Books On The Table in his native Sao Paulo. His latest and most famous band is the indie-electro project CSS. In 2003, Adriano formed the group with some friends as a joke. He plays the drums and produces the band, besides eventually playing bass, guitar and singing. CSS signed to indie label Sub Pop in the beginning of 2006 to release their first international album, and toured U.S. and Canada in the same year. Another international tour, scheduled for September 2006, is planned, when CSS is going to open the shows of Ladytron. He is producing the initial demos of Lovefoxxx' forthcoming solo debut, Love 2 Luv U Foxxxy.
