Adrian Bower

Adrian Bower (born 1971), sometimes credited as A. D. Bower is an English actor, best known for his role as physical education and geography teacher Brian Steadman in the British comedy series Teachers.

Adrian Bower starred as Brian Steadman in Teachers, from series 1 in March 2001 until series 3 in October 2003. In series 1 Brian Steadman was a significant cast member, mainly involved in the comedy moments, but series 1 was more strongly based on real drama than the following series's, with Andrew Lincoln playing the starring role. Although Brian did get the honour of sleeping with 'the arse' Jenny during the 1st series. The role of Brian Steadman was expanded in series 2, were the storylines were spread more evenly through the cast. An episode in series 2 were Brian slept with susan a particular classic. Series 3 saw many of the previous main characters departing, leaving Brian and on screen best friend, kurt, to take the star roles, with the 3rd series paying particular attention to their friendship. The 3rd series was more strongly based on the comedy element than previous series, but still had many classic episodes and many great moment. The episode where Brian dates the dinner lady and forgets to sleep with her is one of his main moments in the series. Following series 3, Brian Steadman the character, was killed off, with little explaination in series 4, apart from showing both Brian, Matt and Kurts grave.

Bower also won the third series of Celebrity Poker Club, using the nickname "The Tower" in relation to his 6'3" height.

He also played Joe in the first series of Gimme Gimme Gimme. Joe was a reformed guy who had been in prison for various crimes and also used to be a bully going by the name of Todd Manson.
