The Admiral Petre Bărbuneanu class frigate is a patrol frigate (corvette by NATO standards), and they are quite old and obsolete, to be replaced by Eustaţiu Sebastian class.
Displacement: 1,600 tons full load
Dimensions: 93 × 11.5 × 3 meters/305.1 × 37.7 × 9.8 feet
Propulsion: 2 diesels, 2 shafts, 16,000 bhp, 24 knots
Available information indicates that only 2 of all frigates in this class, have remained in service out of a total of 4 in the Romanian Navy.
