Administration of the Assets of the Holy See
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Administration of the Assets of the Holy See (Italian: Amministrazione per i Beni della Santa Sede, abbreviated ABSS) was the main agency responsible for the management of Vatican property, including Palaces and gardens, and capital assets resulting from the investment of surpluses from Peter's Pence.[1]
In 1967, Pope Paul VI combined the Special Administration of the Holy See and the Administration of the Assets of the Holy See into one office, the Administration of the Patrimony of the Holy See, under the control of the Prefecture for the Economic Affairs of the Holy See, erected August 15, 1957.[2]
