Hi,

I would like to know more about Adithada. Could you give me some good links, books, or other info about this art? You can contact me at mailto:indrancroose@yahoo.com

[edit] Source on Aditha, Thamizhar web page and Alex Doss

This page includes one reference that is not verifiable or reliable as it is written today. That's the 2nd reference (Thamizhar Martial Arts - Alex Doss) http://www.sangam.org/taraki/articles/2006/02-10_Thamizhar_Martial_Arts.php?uid=1510&print=sangam

That page contains a lot of unverifiable, quasi-mythological references, and yet passes itself as a historical summary on the evolution of Martial Arts. Furthermore, the Adithada page claims in its reference section that it belongs to some "Alex Doss", whose existence is unverifiable as far as I've been able to tell.

The author of this page also attempted to use "Alex Doss" to claim an Indic origin to all martial arts in the Wiki Indian Martial Arts page. The claim has been removed, but it is still available in the google cached pages (see http://216.239.51.104/search?q=cache:4UQx_AZTk6IJ:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_martial_arts+alex+doss+martial+arts&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=1)

Furthermore, similar unverifiable claims have been made in the wiki Kickboxing section. I do not see this as anything but a form of historic revisionism. I'm all open to see all martial arts documented, including Adithada. Having said that, I do not want to see mythology and chauvinistic revisionism being passed as historical fact. And that's what's happening in this particular subject.

Luis.
