Adityapur is a city and a notified area in Pashchimi Singhbhum district in the state of Jharkhand, India.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Adityapur had a population of 119,221. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Adityapur has an average literacy rate of 67%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 60% of the males and 40% of females literate. 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
