Ademir da Guia

Ademir da Guia (born 3 April 1942 at Rio de Janiero) is a councilman for the city of São Paulo, Brazil. He was elected in 2004 for the legislative period 2005-2008.

Before becoming a politician, he was a notable player for Palmeiras, a leading Brazilian football team. Also, he played in the 1974 FIFA World Cup, although only in the third place match against Poland, in which he was substituted in half time. His father, Domingos da Guia, was a former national team member who played 1938 FIFA World Cup.
