Adelaide Galaxy is a football (soccer) club located in Novar Gardens, South Australia. Adelaide Galaxy is a participant in the recently formed South Australian Super League.

  • Galaxy was one of the powerhouse sides in the first season of the new Super League.
  • Up until 2002 Galaxy was formerly known as West Torrens Birkalla (Birks). Birks was founded in 1923 when the West Torrens Football Club amalgamated with the Birkalla Rovers Football Club.
  • The youth teams (teams below U/19) at Galaxy still go by the name W.T Birkalla.
  • At the beginning of the 2006 season Galaxy reverted back to its original team colours, yellow and black.
  • Birkalla produced 4 Australian internationals and 19 State representatives.
