This is a category of people who at some point in their lives were actors and also at some point in their lives were politicians. For an actor to be included in this category, he/she should have held either a position in the government or stood for public office or campaigned extensively for a political party. Politicians who are professionally known for being politicians and only play themselves in film and television shows (such as John McCain and Al Sharpton) and thus are not professionally known as actors should not be included.
