Active Valve Control System
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Active Valve Control System (AVCS) is an automobile variable valve timing technology developed by Subaru. It varies the timing of the intake and exhaust valves by using hydraulic pressure to rotate the camshaft by up to 35 degrees.
The AVCS system is used on many of Subaru's current engines (4 cylinder 2.0L, 2.5L and 6 cylinder 3.0L).
