Achalgarh

Achalgarh fort is situated eleven km north of Mount Abu , a hill station in Indian state of Rajasthan.The fort was got built by Maharana Kumbha in year 1452 AD .It was one of the several forts built in reign of Maharana Kumbha .The fort is not in good condition now.There are some features of historical and religious importance in and around the fort.There is Achaleshwar Mahadeva temple just outside the fort wherein the toe of Lord Shiva is worshiped and there is a brass Nandi. Near the temple there are three stone buffaloes stand around a pond.There are Jain temples in the fort . These were built in 1513AD.There are fine views from there.
