WELL, farewell every one! I have decided to use Wikipedia for reference only, as trying to edit it is taking over my life. I shall, however, continue to use it as a "Read-only" encyclopaedia. I do like the treatment I have had from other Wikipedians, and I continue to think it is a great website (albeit not without its faults), but my main problem was getting told I had vandalised even after I logged in because other users shared my computer number. So, farewell, and to every one who has helped make Wikipedia so brilliant, thanks several billion! ACEO liked to contribute to articles on psychology. He also liked to add to discussion pages in Wikipedia, being somewhat more liberal here with the range of discussion pages to which he contributes than the range of articles to which he contributes. One of his sounding-horses is for the need for Wikipedia to continue to be an up-to-date encyclopaedia, even by the standards of online encyclopaedias. He has made some comments on this issue on the discussion page of the article on Wikipedia. ACEO 20:45, 11 July 2006 (UTC) He was formerly signed by a different username "ACarl" - that did not have its own userpage. He is still learning a lot about the wonderful world of Wikipedia and of wiki on the Internet in general.

Some requests about use of Wikipedia:

Before editing an article, ask:

Am I helping to make the article more up-to-date? Am I able to reference my sources, using books and journals, not just other internet sites? Does my edit help to give the article a better context? Am I able to establish wiki-links to other articles in Wikipedia? Do I have credentials in that particular field? Are my edits likely to help other Wikipedia users?

About that last topic - I should say that I am not a qualified medical doctor (I am able to use the title "Dr" but due to a Ph.D. in psychology, not a medical degree) I am just interested.
