I don't know enough about indulgences to edit this page, but it is clearly not written from a neutral point of view! It assumes the authority of the Catholic church as fact, assumes that indulgences themselves are good, etc.

I agree, this is the bones of an article from the Catholic Encyclopedia, and more material needs to be added, as well as POV work.Humble Servant 03:32, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

I think that the best solution would be to merge Abuses of Indulgences with Indulgence, and clean it to meet NPOV standards. --Tom Morris 13:52, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

I reworded a lot of the article and it's closer to NPOV now, but I think that there needs to be more information about the actual abuses of indulgences and not just cursory references to them. Right now, the article is mostly about how the Catholic Church responded to the abuses. M412k 20:26, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
