Abu Turab Al-Urduni

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Abu Turab al-Urduni is a Jordanian who has been described by the United States government as one of five individuals who were completely aware of the operational details of the september 11th attacks. The other four being Osama bin Laden, Khalid Sheik Mohammed, Ramzi Binalshibh, and Mohammed Atef.

He has been described in government filings as the trainer of ten of the "muscle" hijackers and the al-Matar complex during late 2000- early 2001. He is alleged to have trained them in conducting hijackings, disarming air marshals, explosives, body-building and basic English words and phrases. At the al-Faruq camp he had each hijacker butcher a sheep and a camel with a Swiss knife to prepare them for using their knives during the hijackings. He also trained the "muscle" hijackers in truck bombing, blowing up buildings and hijacking trains. This was designed to obfuscate the real goal of their mission should they have been caught in transit to the US.

CNN reports anonymous government sources as believing that Abu Turab Al-Urduni had been killed by U.S. forces during the first stages of the war in Afghanistan. [1]
