[edit] the undefinable
though abstract - the general word - is somewhat undefinable, I think the main page should sum it up in some way before giving links to different forms.
something like this maybe:
[edit] abstract thinking
Abstract is a word that has been used in forms of art (design, music, production), as well as law/mathmatics. In art, abstract often entails things that you would not normaly see in conventional forms of the art. The focal point of the subject may be somewhat hidden or distanced. - Does that extened past a dictionary defintion? If so then create an article. If not then allow readers to click the link to wiktionary.--Commander Keane 18:42, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
- I'm with John. There are far too many articles that link here to not have some explanation of what abstract is. I think this page would best be the counterpoint of Concrete (philosophy). The wictionary has no information about 'abstract art', 'abstract music', etc. Those would also be useful here. It seems appropriate to make what is here now a redirect and to create a page with several "see also" and a quick definition. I will do it later today or tomorrow, if I remember ;) --Matthew 16:48, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
