His antics such as using aresol cans as make shift flamethrower. He joined the storyline splinter group Lucha Libre Latina or simply LLL, a group similar to the nWo stable. The group feuded with real-life promoter Antonio Peña and AAA loyalists such as La Parka (PAP), Octagón, Latin Lover and others. Abismo became one of the most consistent performers in the main event for AAA.

In 2004, he, along with Héctor Garza, Juventud Guerrera, Mr. Águila and later Heavy Metal, came to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling as part of Team Mexico. The team was successful but relations between AAA and TNA were strained and Abismo returned to AAA when the deal fell through. They hinted at a possible face turn when Abismo, Psicosis and Mini Psicosis attacked LLL leader Cibernético. The two faced off in a cage match won by Cibernético but Abismo eventually made up with him. Despite rumors that he was jumping to CMLL, Abismo remained in AAA and was sent to a tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH in the spring of 2005. Later in the year, he turned face and began feuding with Cibernético.
