[edit] Biography
Born on 10 January 1986 in Liverpool , Clancy was member of girlband Genie Queen, who were managed by 80s popstar Andy McClusky from OMD. The highlight of their career was supporting boyband Blue on tour. Unfortunately the band didn’t secure a record deal and fell apart.
In 2006 she successfully auditioned for Britain's Next Top Model and made it to the final. The Living TV producers' notes on Clancy describe her as "fun, giggly and doesn't take anything too seriously" adding: "In five years she sees herself as the next Lisa Snowdon, modelling Victoria's Secret underwear after a successful recording career. If that all doesn't happen Abigail will marry a footballer, get pregnant and then shop and be a housewife the rest of her life."
Abigail came second in cycle 2 of Britain's Next Top Model.
[edit] Relationship with Peter Crouch
Abigail began dating Peter in January this year after they met at a Liverpool bar. Clancy came to public attention as Crouch's girlfriend when she watched him score a hat-trick during a pre-World Cup clash with Jamaica. Days later she jetted out to Germany with the rest of the WAGs. Barely halfway through the tournament allegations and photographs emerged of her cocaine-taking past. Crouch with pressure from his parents quietly suggested Abigail go back to Britain. After the tournament was over, Crouch sent a legal note to newspapers, insisting he was no longer with Abi, but she maintained they were still on. A short time later sightings and pictures of the couple dining together surfaced supporting Abigail's claims that the two were indeed a couple. Later on, he said that he was sorry about what he'd said and that the sex is amazing! [citation needed]
