[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels
Hi thank you for joining the WikiProject. There is still plenty of scope for influencing things and making your contribution count. We are about establishing standards for Novel based articles and writing articles that meet our own and others high standards, and to improve Wikipedia's diet of articles on Fiction books, otherwise called Novels. If you have any questions, do ask. Please be very welcome. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 07:03, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks! Right now, I'm planning to edit and expand Lirael: Daughter of the Clayr, Sabriel, Abhorsen, and Neverwhere, and improving them to WikiProject Novels standards. I'll post my project in my sandbox, once I get that started. Thanks again for the welcome! Abhorsen327 12:12, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Neverwhere dab
Ana, I have noticed that there is a problem with using a topline dab for Neverwhere - there are already a few entries on topline there. I now think a full dab page is worthwhile. But since I cannot post at school (this is using a proxy and all quote signs are funked up: \\\' ) would you please post that on the Neverwhere talk for me? Michael... Nihiltres 16:07, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- I think I basically already said that... I need to go over redirects and structure of dab's first, before I create a full dab—that's a major area of coding that I don't know yet. I'll make a comment on the talk, though. Check out my sandbox, btw, and tell me what you think. Abhorsen327 16:14, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- The coding for a dab page is pretty simple, actually - it's just a normal page with a disambiguation template on it, that is, at the end, to say "This is a dab page" & whatnot, not to mention listing it as a dab page. I'll go create it now -home now and no need to use a nasty web proxy that screws up text entry and makes all contractions look bad. Either way, first step will be to split the article into (book) and (movie) pages... let's move the movie first, with a temporary topline link. Nihiltres 22:10, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- I feel that copy needs to be written for the separate movie and book pages, before a dab page is added. I'll work on this at some point... too much homework now, but that's my next wiki project after the Old Kingdom pages that I'll be working on (first characters, then artifacts, then bloodlines and whatever). I'll need your help on the Old Kingdom stuff, however—I do not have access to the books, and I need fact checking. Feel free to help out whenever you can! My sandbox is now in the category as a work in progress, so hopefully it'll draw some attention and edits. Thanks for your help on all this! Abhorsen327 00:40, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- Just a quick note to say I agree with the splitting. If either of you need a hand let me know. (Emperor 15:15, 9 August 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Categorization/Merging of Old Kingdom series articles
Hi Ana... we have a few categories to work out. The following list is one we can edit and use to have a concrete image of where to put everything and how to categorize. Nihiltres 03:40, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
- Artifacts
- Characters
- This is currently in progress, in my sandbox. Feel free to contribute... I'm at the end of what I can really add, since I don't have easy access to the books. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Abhorsen327 (talk • contribs).
