[edit] Welcome to the Military history WikiProject!

Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.

A few features that you might find helpful:

There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:

  • Starting some new articles? Our article structure guidelines outline some things to include.
  • Interested in working on a more complete article? The military history peer review and collaboration departments would welcome your help!
  • Interested in a particular area of military history? We have a number of task forces that focus on specific nations or periods.
  • Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every military history article in Wikipedia.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the project coordinators, or any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Kirill Lokshin 03:35, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] JV 44

Hello, if you don't mind would you have a look at the JV 44 article and give me some improvement comments? I drew the squadron symbol myself by looking at old phtographs. I also have a list of known members, etc. in EXCEL. If you could give me a tip on where to put it within the article and how to structure the table I would get to work on it. The 61 names I have come from a book about JV 44, and the columns in the table would include name, rank, decorations (e.g. Knight's Cross), role within JV44, last known previous unit, victories and total sorties flown. Maybe a column for comments too. I worry the table is too big so any advice on formatting, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I want to get it looking good before seeking a peer review. Thanks. Sure thing - I'll make a post on the JV 44 talk page. Abel29a 17:52, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Yak-15?

I've seen diagrams of a (F-W?) project with chin-mounted jets that resembles the Yak-15/17/23. Do you know if the Soviets captured project data? And what manufacturer/project number it was? TrekphilerCanada17:10, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
