[edit] External links

I am removing the external links to the pages on aberdare (dot) org. Despite the official-sounding domain name, they are only really the personal opinions of Darren Wyn Rees. For example, there is an item where he mocks Nic Dafis, the owner of the Morfablog and Maes-E websites, by use of the similar sounding name "Nic Daufys" (meaning "Nic Two-Fingers" in Welsh) complete with photo of Churchill's V-sign. As far as I can see, the links are just an attempt to boost page rank in some kind of rivalry between prominent Welsh-speaking site owners. It is not a helpful addition to the article.

I will also be removing a similar link from the page on the Welsh wikipedia, and will be posting a note on the talk page there drawing attention to any followup discussion which may arise here. Of course, the Welsh wikipedia is not obliged to follow the decisions made on the English wikipedia, but any consensus reached here may be of interest as it potentially reflects the views of a greater number of participants.

Is Llareggub pursuing some personal hate campaign against Darren Wyn Rees by deleting postings referring to his websites?

Llareggub has deleted references to Aberdare Blog from the Welsh section of the link to Aberdare, in the Welsh Wiki. The fact is, Aberdare Blog was the only website with any Welsh language content listed! Some Wiki contribution, eh.

Llareggub seems to be under some misapprehension as regards how (a) Wikipedia OR (b) blogging works.

Would it be OK for to delete Nic Dafis' own contribution to the Blogging Wiki article on the Welsh Wiki ? The article where he lists his own blog website and the website of his friends  ?

Please Llareggub - don't be silly.

If you continue this campaign, requests will be made that your Wiki account is disabled.
