Abercrombie Kids, or in the advertised form, abercrombie, is a childrens version of the popular Abercrombie & Fitch retailer. It is one of their four concept stores, but is mainly targeted towards boys and girls ages 7-14 years old, unlike the other three concepts. Like the original Abercrombie & Fitch, abercrombie sells clothing inspired by the American Lifestyle and is often described as preppy. The designs of both abercrombie and Abercrombie & Fitch are very much alike; posters of models appear in both stores, and they use a similar color scheme. The difference that most customers notice is the lower price point than Abercrombie & Fitch. abercrombie's prices are typically 35% 40% lower than those at Abercrombie & Fitch Typically, shirts, and tees cost around $20-40 while jeans cost anywhere from $40 to $80. The jeans are styled after Abercrombie & Fitch jeans.
As of 2005 there were 176 abercrombie stores throughout the United States, with expansion into Canada. There are currently no stores outside of the United States and Canada.
