Abdel-Wahed El-Wakil (* 7 August 1943 in Cairo; ). Egyptian architect who designed over 15 mosques in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

In 1965 El-Wakil graduated from Ain Shams University in Cairo, where he was a student of Hassan Fathy. Subsequently he lectured in their Department of Architecture (1965-1970). Since 1971 he has been in private practice as an architect. Since 1993 he has been based in Miami, Florida.
