When Worlds Collide: A Tribute to Daniel Amos, and the Music of Terry Scott Taylor is a compilation of songs by various artists in tribute to the band Daniel Amos, and it's chief songwriter, Terry Scott Taylor.
A true labor of love by the artists and everyone else involved, all royalties, and a majority of the proceeds, were donated to Compassion International. The desire was not to make a big splash or a lot of money, but simply to pay tribute to a band and a songwriter that has inspired them for years.
Since Taylor and Daniel Amos have spent their entire musical careers playing a wide variety of musical styles, the goal of the tribute was to include an equally wide range of artists and styles; as well as both well-known established artists like The 77s, Starflyer59, Phil Madeira, Larry Norman, Jimmy A, The Throes, Rick Altizer and Randy Stonehill, and lesser known, independent or unsigned artists.
A number of artists recorded songs that were intended for a planned "Part Two" release, but to date, not enough tracks have been finished. Artists include Jesse Sprinkle, Robert Deeble, Atomic Opera, John Austin, Allan Aguirre of Scaterd Few / Spy Glass Blue, and others.
The unusual cover artwork was done by Animator and Artist, Doug TenNapel.
