A Time to Be Born is the first novel in a series depicting the events that took place before Star Trek: Nemesis.
In this book, Jean-Luc Picard and crew are assigned to assist in the salvage of ships and bodies from a battle site during the Dominion War. However, danger is all over the Rashanar Battle Site, and soon the legendary crew of the Enterprise find themselves under court martial.
Not all is lost though, since a "friend" from the past now known as the Traveler returns to keep an eye on the legendary crew.
