- Three Times One Minus One was based on R&B musician R. Kelly.
- Writers Jay Johnston, Paul F. Tompkins, and Bill Odenkirk went uncredited in this episode due to budget constraints, even though they did, in fact, work on the episode.
- The sketch "Mom and Pop Porn Shop" came from a premise that was thought of by writer David O. Waterman, who had known David Cross and had been a member of his comedy troupe "Cross Comedy". Waterman gave Cross permission to use the premise for the show.
