There is no school cabal. Really. Go away.
Of course, if there was...
The subject of school articles is a contentious subject. Some people want to extend the precedent for articles about cities and townships: as long as it verifiably exists, it should be covered. Some people want to extend the precedent for individual people: only schools with some sort of claim of individual notability should be covered. Some people even hold both views, depending on the sort of school (public vs. private, primary vs. secondary, and so on.)
The School Cabal (which doesn't exist, really) includes people who hold any or all of these views. More important to the members of this hypothetical cabal (which doesn't exist, really) than "winning" this or that argument are principles like assuming good faith and being civil, as well as not being a dick. Maybe we're not yet close to a compromise on a policy or guideline for handling schools, but in the meantime, it's important to not personalize, radicalize, or...uh...nasty-ize the debate; after all, everyone here is a reasonable person holding his or her beliefs in good faith.
[edit] Members
The people below, who would be members of the School Cabal if it existed (but it doesn't, really), believe in keeping things civil (no matter what), not sniping at or haranguing other users, and just generally making a tough debate nicer.
If this cabal existed (and it doesn't, really), anyone could put their name here to show their support for the principle of civility over partisanship. Even though this cabal doesn't exist (really), if you feel that way, it'll probably be okay to add your name here, too.
