I'm never gonna get all of the cruft. I'm never even gonna get it faster than it's made. But it's a windmill to tilt at.

Hi. I know a lot about cartoons, games, and to some extent, comics. This is my personal to-do list to cut down on cruft. (Cruft, in this case, means overspecific articles, which are likely to be unexpandable stubs or chock full of overspecific trivia or plot summary.)

This is largely going to be dealt with merges and redirects, so don't think I'm going to delete stuff about your favorite game.

• DAB ALL FIRST GAME/SERIES ARTICLES (e.g. Metal Gear being a dab for Metal Gear (video game) and Metal Gear (series))
• A ton of WH40K and WHFB cruft needs merging
• List of Nintendo characters is the white whale; while I don't think many, if any, characters should be merged there, right now it's a massive listing of crufty character articles.

  • Master Hand -> Super Smash Bros.
  • Tom Nook -> Animal Crossing

  • List of minor Green Lanterns is in progress

    • Most of the minor Green Lanterns should be merged in
  • On that subject, Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps are largely redundant, but too long to easily merge. Dunno what to do here

• Alpha Flight cruft
  • Beta Flight and Department H (comics) should be merged into Alpha Flight
  • Many of the members of Alpha Flight appear nearly or completely exclusively in that comic (e.g. Puck, Marrina, Yukon Jack), and have no impact independent of the AF comic series. Should they be merged into a list?

• DCU cruft
  • Warhawk (Justice League Unlimited) might be part of a trend, might not. Not sure where it should go, maybe a list?
  • Jokerz should possibly be merged to Joker (comics), or a list of Batman Beyond villains

• Naruto listcruft craziness
  • Taijutsu (Naruto)
  • Genjutsu (Naruto)
  • Ninjutsu (Naruto)

• Simpsons articles need to be de-quoted
  • List of recurring characters from The Simpsons

A subset of wikipedians have assembled in view to eliminate inapropriate and crufty material from the encyclopedia. Members below (please add your name to this list):

• User:Megaman Zero - Vastly inappropriate material being introduced into the encyclopedia.
• User:Bwithh - Can we have a logo? How about some neat uniforms? Do we get free food? oh, oh yeah, down with cruft!
