Down II: A Bustle in Your Hedgerow (2002) |
|
Down II: A Bustle in Your Hedgerow is the second album by Down. It was released on March 26, 2002. It is usually referred to simply as Down II.
Down released this album seven years after their first, NOLA. They went on hiatus in 1996 because all members were trying to concentrate on primary projects (Eyehategod, Corrosion of Conformity, Crowbar and Pantera). Down was resurrected in 2001. The band moved into a barn in southern Louisiana where they lived and recorded this album in order to give it the "bluesy" feel.
The title is taken from the lyrics of "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin.
