User:A. B./Draft Articles
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
On 24 August 2006, Brad Patrick cut the article Pacific Western University back to a stub, noted the previous version had violated Wikipedia's neutrality norms and then protected the stub [1] [2]. Having had no previous involvement with the article or the school, I set out to prepare a new, neutral and encyclopedic article draft on this user subpage. I solicited review by others on the article's talk page for neutrality and factual reliability, then requested [3] [4] [5] the article be temporarily unprotected on 20 October 2006. Others also made some edits to this article in response to my request for review and consensus.
In response, the protected stub was unprotected on 28 October 2006 by an administrator and the draft article used to replace it.
Subsequent to the new article's unprotection, the article was edited by others. My only edit was 1 November to restore some neutrality [6]. On 7 November, Danny again ([7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12]) cut the article back to a protected stub with the with the following message added:
- "This page is currently under the scrutiny of the Wikimedia Foundation Office' and is protected. If you are able to edit this page, please discuss all changes and additions on the talk page first. Do not remove protection from this article unless you are authorized by the Wikimedia Foundation to do so.
Danny also tagged the article with additional concerns that the article as then written did not meet Wikipedia's policies for neutrality or citing sources.
While I am confident the earlier version I had on this page met Wikipedia's neutrality and source policies, I have deleted it on my own initiative while the article is under review by the Foundation office in order to avoid the possiblity that draft I still had here might create further complications for the Foundation. --A.
