A. W. Yrjänä

A. W. Yrjänä (Aki Ville Yrjänä, born on 30 July 1967) is the singer, songwriter and bassist of the Finnish band CMX. In addition to his musical work, he has also published four collections of poems. A. W. Yrjänä's lyrics have had a notable effect on the Finland's musical scene of the 1990s and early 2000s, and he has been sometimes cited as one of the greatest Finnish rock songwriters. A. W. Yrjänä studied theology and comparative religion at the University of Helsinki, and his lyrics often contain strong religious imagery.
