A. L. Sadler

A.L. Sadler was a Professor of Oriental Studies at the University of Sydney from 1922-1948. He also taught at the Royal Military College of Australia.

His publications include A Short History of Japanese Architecture, Maker of Modern Japan: The Life of Tokugawa Ieyasu, and Cha-No-Yu: The Japanese Tea Ceremony.

He translated The Ten Foot Square Hut (the Hojoki), excerpts from the Heike Monogatari, and The Code of The Samurai: Budo Shoshinshu into English.
